PeerStreet will have a strong presence at next week’s Annual AAPL Conference and Exhibition and if you are a lender, or are interested in investing on the PeerStreet platform, we want to talk to you. AAPL (American Association of Private Lenders) hosts one of the largest annual industry events for private lenders across the country.

PeerStreet partners with private lenders to offer high-quality real estate loan investments to all accredited investors. We are creating a secondary market that provides increased liquidity to lenders and opens doors for their businesses to grow.

Four members of the PeerStreet team will be at this year’s event, beginning on Sunday. Marc Heenan, Head of Commercial Originations and Asset Management, will be one of the featured speakers on Tuesday, discussing marketplace lending and how these platforms provide a new source of capital for lenders. Marc has spent most of his career in real estate and has a tremendous amount of experience executing complex transactions and workouts. Most recently, he was a First Vice President at OneWest Bank in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate group prior where he notably was involved with the workout of IndyMac’s distressed legacy portfolio. He has a lot of insights to share about marketplace lending and how PeerStreet is solving for industry inefficiencies. His presentation will be held on November 10 at 2:15 p.m. in the Florentine Ballroom I & II.

Jason Harris, Dan Graham and Jessica Murray will also be joining Marc at AAPL. Jason and Dan work with Marc on the real estate team, and manage our loan pipeline and lender relationships. Both have strong backgrounds in real estate. In his role as Director of Business Development, Jason is primarily responsible for sourcing new lender partners and onboarding investors onto the platform. Dan is PeerStreet’s head of Partner Relations and Underwriting. He manages lender relationships, onboarding and loan underwriting. Between the two of them, Dan and Jason have started multiple real estate companies, worked on a wide-range of commercial and residential real estate deals, managed construction and development projects and worked in fixed income sales for a number of the largest banks in the country. Jessica heads up Corporate Communications. Prior to PeerStreet, she was a trader on an institutional Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) desk and most recently worked at a commercial real estate data analytics company.
