PeerStreet will often split larger balance investments into multiple series. Each series is linked to the same underlying loan and all series are pari passu. Splitting a loan into multiple series allows us to close each piece more quickly so you begin accruing interest sooner. Each series will have a different interest accrual start date but other loan terms remain consistent.
Even though we may split a loan into multiple series, we treat it as a single investment when it comes to Automated Investing. So if your Automated Investing criteria indicate that you would like to allocate $10,000 per loan, we will only submit orders up to that amount. If you would like to increase your investment, you can do so manually. When you cancel an automated order, you will not receive an allocation in future series.
On the Investments Page, we will indicate whether or not you’ve already invested in a prior series, as shown below.
